Mango-Turmeric Smoothie

Prep Time

2 minutes

Prep Notes

Peel and slice fresh ripe mango ahead of time in large batches and store in airtight container in the freezer for up to 60 days. This will save you a ton of time and make smoothie-making in the mornings a breeze!

Yields

1 serving

Ingredients

1 cup filtered water

1/2 cup coconut water (not from concentrate)

1 tbsp. chia seeds

1 tbsp. flax meal

1 cup frozen mango chunks (extra for garnish if you'd like)

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. turmeric powder

1 serving protein powder of choice (I prefer USANA MySmartShake plant-based protein powder)

3-4 ice cubes (optional)

Directions

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender starting with the liquids and blend on high for 1 minute. Garnish with a piece of frozen mango (just like a popsicle), eat and enjoy!

Notes

This smoothie is incredibly detoxifying and anti-inflammatory with the turmeric powder and cinnamon. Turmeric has been shown to greatly reduce systemic inflammation in the body and even has anti-cancer properties.
