Fat Burning Blueberry-Avocado Smoothie

Fat is NOT a four-letter word, and eating more healthy fats can actually help you burn more fat without even trying. When you fuel your body with whole foods packed with fiber and healthy fats, you will kick start fat-burning mechanisms in your body that will burn fat, help you lose weight and get you feeling fabulous! One of my favorite dietary fats is avocado. I truly believe that an avocado a day will keep the doctor away. Not to mention help you slim down, get glowing skin and shiny hair that will rival any Pantene Pro-V commercial! So get blending, this smoothie is sure to satisfy not only your sweet tooth but also your craving for something smooth, creamy and oh-so-delicious. Enjoy!

Yields

1 serving

Ingredients

1.5 cups coconut water (not from concentrate)

1 tbsp. organic chia seedsĀ 

2 cups organic spinach or kale

1 cup organic frozen blueberries

1 half large avocado, or 1 whole small avocado

3-4 ice cubes (optional)

Directions

Add all ingredients to a high speed blender in the order listed and blend on high for 1 minute. If you prefer a thicker consistency, add less coconut water or more blueberries; if you prefer a thinner consistency, add more liquid. DO NOT SKIMP ON THE BLUEBERRIES!

Pour into a glass and ENJOY!
